Picture a winter morning with no shoveling, no snowblower and no rock salt, just a clear, dry driveway ready to go. A snow melt system makes that possible. It melts snow and ice as they fall, keeping your driveway, walkways and steps safer for your family, guests and customers. As hydronic heating specialists, HCS Heating & Cooling designs systems that are efficient, reliable and built to last for decades.
Durable PEX tubing is installed under your concrete, asphalt or pavers. A boiler heats an antifreeze solution and pumps it through the tubing, warming the surface just enough to melt snow and ice. An automatic sensor detects snow and turns the system on, so it’s working before you even wake up.
No more shoveling or plowing before work. Steep driveways stay safe all winter.
Clear, dry paths from the driveway to the front door.
Prevent ice on the most dangerous surfaces around your home.
Keep accessible entrances safe and usable in any weather.
Enjoy outdoor spaces longer and protect them from freeze damage.
Safer sidewalks, loading areas and entrances for customers and employees.
Reduce slip-and-fall risks for your family, guests and customers.
Save time and protect your back on every snowy morning.
No rock salt or chemicals to damage concrete, pavers, landscaping or your car.
Automatic snow and ice sensors turn the system on and off for you.
Less salt, sand and slush tracked into your home or business.
A heated driveway is a premium feature buyers notice.

We can tie snow melt into your existing boiler if it has the capacity, or install a dedicated high-efficiency boiler just for snow melt.
Snow melt is easiest to add when a driveway, walkway, or patio is being built or replaced. The tubing goes in before the concrete, asphalt, or pavers, and adding it later usually means taking up the surface. If you are planning a paving job, call us early so the tubing can be part of the plan.
Part of the surface stays snow-covered while the rest melts
System doesn't turn on during snowfall
Melting is slower than it used to be
Boiler short-cycles or locks out during snow events
Pressure drops or the system needs frequent refilling
Unusual noises from pumps or the boiler
